Protective Behaviors is ASTOP’s Prevention Education Program. It provides people with specific strategies to confidently face personal safety issues.
The Protective Behaviors process includes:
· Recognizing the threat of physical, emotional, verbal, or sexual abuse.
· Deciding what to do when one is not feeling safe
· Learning the skills to report to a trusted adult.
The Protective Behaviors process includes:

We all have the
right to feel safe all of the time… and others have the right to feel
safe with us.
We can talk with someone we trust about anything, no matter how awful or
small.
